LEADING EDGE is Colorado's premier business planning program that addresses the questions every entrepreneur must answer to reach their dreams of growing their business or launching a new business. "Business Plan in a Day" is held quarterly at a South Metro location, and includes five hours of one-on-one consultation to review the components of your business plan, from marketing to financial projections.
Participants learn how to analyze economic opportunities and risk for their business and create an actionable strategic business plan based on proven market research and management techniques. LEADING EDGE courses are highly interactive, which ensures the flow of information not just from the instructor, but between participants as well. Criteria for Certificates of Graduation:
Attendance at the all-day workshop
A completed business plan that includes market research, marketing strategies and cash flow projections
What to Expect:
Interactive group work, online presentations, group discussions, handouts and subsequent homework assignments
Five or more hours of one-on-one confidential consulting
Feedback on your business plan or strategy throughout the course
Introduction to potential lenders and other community partners at a “Resource and Lenders Fair”
Entry into a class business plan competition for a chance to win prizes and potential entry in the annual statewide business plan competition

Note that Englewood is offering a potential Small Business Training Scholarship to Englewood businesses. Please supply the scholarship application and a letter to Englewood stating how this grant will be of assistance to you, and Englewood’s Economic Development Manager will review the application. The scholarship is on a reimbursement basis from the City of Englewood.
